My students use the donated materials every single day, and they have already made such a difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nBefore receiving these chairs, I had only two comfortable study chairs in my classroom. My students would race to my classroom to try to get one of those two chairs before someone else did. Now, every student has the opportunity to sit in a comfortable chair while they work and learn. It has been so nice to see everyone have a comfortable place to sit and focus.\r\n\r\nMy students' reactions to the new chairs were so fun to see. They were incredibly excited and immediately asked me how I got the money to purchase all of the new chairs. They absolutely love them! I teach high school special education, so finding chairs that are comfortable for students, built to last, and reliable can be difficult, especially when classroom resources are limited. At our school, we receive only $200 per year to purchase any supplies we need. To purchase enough chairs for all of my students with that budget would have taken 10 years—or would have required me to spend money out of my own paycheck. Because of your generosity, I didn't have to do either.\r\n\r\nMy students and I are so grateful that you helped make our classroom a more comfortable and welcoming place to learn. We are currently working on important life skills that our students will use after high school, including learning about insurance, taxes, and completing job applications. While these may not be the most exciting topics, they are incredibly important as our students prepare for life after graduation. Having a comfortable place to work makes those lessons just a little bit better!\r\n\r\nThank you again for making such a meaningful difference in our classroom.
