As soon as the items arrived, they immediately began exploring the different height options and experimenting with the flexible seating. These additions have made our classroom feel more comfortable, modern, and student-centered. The ball chair has especially been helpful for students who need movement or sensory support, allowing them to focus better while still feeling relaxed.\r\n\r\nThese adjustable desks have already made a huge impact in our student-led café. Because the tables can be raised or lowered so easily, students are able to shift into different groups, collaborate more naturally, and rearrange the space depending on the task. Whether they're working on menus, practicing customer service, or managing orders, the new setup gives them the freedom to work in ways that feel comfortable and efficient.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving our students learning tools that support independence, creativity, and teamwork. Your generosity has helped us create a space that truly reflects the needs of our students, and we are so grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1755698056563,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-for-future-entrepreneur/9500619/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating for Future Entrepreneurs","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. T","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp269978_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1533778663686","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/a-johnson94"},{"teacherId":230387,"projectId":9096857,"letterContent":"Teaching in the inner city is a rich experience and I treasure the opportunity to have worked with so many diverse students for over 3 decades! In recent years, our school community has been enriched by students who come from other countries. While some students and teachers are able to engage with these new students, many are faced with a language barrier that limits our ability to welcome and engage with each other.\r\n The translators that you helped provide allow my students to communicate with each other - both academically and socially. As the instructor, I am able to ensure that my instructions are clear. My English Learner students and I can have dialogue about classwork, texts, and feedback on student work. It is a game changer in the classroom.\r\n The translators are also useful in parent teacher conferences. Because the tool gives written and verbal translations, it can be used in face to face or email exchanges. I know that all parents want to be kept up to date on their child's progress and I am so glad that I can be a better partner in this work, thanks to your help.","fullyFundedDate":1750964963176,"projectUrl":"project/hablamos-lets-talk/9096857/","projectTitle":"Hablamos! The new resources have already made a meaningful impact.\r\n\r\n**How are we using the new materials?**\r\nWe've started using the supplies to create interactive bulletin boards centered around themes like \"Who Am I?\" and \"What Community Means to Me.\" In one recent project, students responded to prompts by adding personal stories, drawings, and affirmations to our \"Voices of Us\" board. This has not only helped them reflect on their identity but also connect more deeply with one another by learning about different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences.\r\n\r\n**How did students react?**\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, their eyes lit up with curiosity and excitement. They were thrilled to see supplies that encouraged self-expression—colorful paper, markers, pins, and other creative tools. Many immediately started brainstorming how they could contribute and what they wanted to share with their peers.\r\n\r\n**What's next?**\r\nWe're currently working on a collaborative display titled \"Belonging Means...\" where students write and post their thoughts on what makes them feel seen and heard at school. As we move forward, students will rotate as bulletin board \"curators,\" leading themed conversations and designing prompts that invite new voices and perspectives into the space.\r\n\r\nYour support has truly helped spark a culture of empathy, expression, and inclusion in our classroom.
