These materials have helped my Pathophysiology class be more hands-on.\r\n\r\nWe used the heart model to learn about cardiovascular disease. The model shows the progression of plaque build-up in the arteries, which students found fascinating. It also shows what happens to the heart after a heart attack, where part of the heart muscle dies. This was great to see because it was so much more real than just a picture online.\r\n\r\nAnother piece that got a lot of use was the slides with cancer cells. The great thing about these slides is that you can put them under the microscope or just hold them up to the light. We used them in the skin health unit to see healthy skin versus skin cancer.
