The little ones have truly enjoyed spending time exploring the wide variety of bilingual books you provided. It has been wonderful to see their excitement as they discover new stories in both languages.\r\n\r\nSpanish-speaking children are especially grateful to pick up a book in their own language, and parents have shared how meaningful it is to read these stories with their little ones. At the same time, English-only speaking children are being introduced to Spanish and are beginning to learn new words and phrases. It has been incredible to watch both languages being practiced and celebrated by all the children.\r\n\r\nThe cozy rug has become a favorite spot to relax with a book, and the calming ball has been especially helpful for children who need a moment to regulate their emotions during difficult transitions. These simple yet meaningful tools are making a real difference in their daily routines, helping them feel safe, supported, and engaged.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping us nurture not only literacy, but also comfort, emotional well-being, and the joy of bilingual learning for the children in our care.","fullyFundedDate":1746786125295,"projectUrl":"project/cozy-in-the-reading-corner/9233557/","projectTitle":"Cozy in the Reading Corner","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Frias","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9576699"},{"teacherId":9905688,"projectId":9077060,"letterContent":"I am writing to express our heartfelt gratitude for the recent addition of two chairs to our school library. What may seem like a small change has made a significant impact on our learning environment, and I'd like to share how both my students and I have benefited from this thoughtful contribution.\r\nFrom the moment the chairs were introduced, the students' excitement was clear. For many, the chairs have become a favorite spot—a place they associate with quiet, comfy, independent reading.\r\nThey appreciate having a cozy area to enjoy reading their book. I've noticed that students are more engaged and productive in their reading when they feel comfortable—something these new chairs have helped foster.\r\nLooking ahead, we will continue to build stamina in our reading.\r\nThank you again for supporting our learning community in such a meaningful way. These two chairs have done more than provide a place to sit—they've given students a sense of belonging, comfort, and pride in their learning space.","fullyFundedDate":1742963979887,"projectUrl":"project/the-reading-retreat/9077060/","projectTitle":"The Reading Retreat","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Novak","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9905688"},{"teacherId":9905688,"projectId":9231286,"letterContent":"I am writing to share an exciting update about how my students and I have been using the new books recently added to our school library.\r\nSince the arrival of the new materials, both my students and I have been enthusiastically exploring the wide range of titles available. The variety of genres and engaging content has sparked a renewed interest in reading among the class. The students have especially enjoyed discovering books that reflect their interests and backgrounds, making reading time more meaningful and enjoyable.\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, their reactions were priceless. Many were visibly excited—some even gasped or cheered as they spotted books by their favorite authors or topics they've been curious about. It was heartwarming to see their eagerness to dive into the new selections.\r\nLooking ahead, our next step is to incorporate read-aloud sessions using these new materials. These sessions will be an opportunity not only to model fluent reading but also to spark discussions, encourage critical thinking, and build a sense of community around literature. I believe this approach will further enhance student engagement and foster a love of reading across all levels.\r\nThank you for your continued support in promoting literacy at our school. These new resources are already making a meaningful impact, and we're excited to continue building on this momentum.","fullyFundedDate":1746787349799,"projectUrl":"project/building-a-culture-of-literacy/9231286/","projectTitle":"Building a Culture of Literacy","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Novak","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9905688"},{"teacherId":4784619,"projectId":9281235,"letterContent":"These headphones are such a blessing! The kids were so excited when the book boxes arrived. After I unpacked the books, they sat on my desk for a few days, waiting to be introduced to the kids. Well I had several curious students who were trying to get their hands on certain books first! Finally, book talk day arrived and I was able to show the kids which new books would be added to the library. \r\n\r\nSeveral of the books belonged to a series and there were several shouts of \"I've been waiting for that one!\" I was also able to grab a book about a character who is experiencing something one of my students is struggling with too. I also received quite a few graphic novels, which are always popular. It can be difficult to get kids to read but when I introduce a new book and it now has a waitlist because so many students want to read it, it just makes my heart so happy. \r\n\r\nAll of that to say, your donation does make a difference.
