Having the necessary resources in a classroom is essential to my students learning. \r\n\r\nWhen my students began to see boxes arrive to our classroom, they began to wonder what was in there. We waited until all materials arrive and we began to open. They were delighted to see everything that came in. In particular the whiteboards and whiteboard erasers that will be replacing our old ones. They were also excited to see the big dice that we will be using for Math time and that they will no longer have to share with a partner, as we now have sufficient for everyone to have one of their own. \r\n\r\nThe air purifier was something most of my students had never seen before. We talked about having clean air in our classroom from now on and what a difference I would hope it makes in creating a healthy and clean atmosphere. They were excited to hear we may be experiencing less sicknesses and absences in the classroom. \r\n\r\nThe last of the materials was the 3 ring binders. We talked about how I will use them for a big surprise at the end of the year, that I will be creating from them. They are excited and anxious to see the surprise. I will be creating a 1st grade memory book for them out of all their art and writing pieces they have created through the entire year. I will also include pictures I have taken of them through out the year. They were excited to see the cart put together and to have new ribbons and balls to play with. Recess is a time to socialize, share and have fun with classmates. Students love to take the ribbons we receive and pretend play with them. We had ribbons in the past and students loved to take them out to recess. Over time, the ribbons fell apart. We were able to replace the ribbons with your donations! THANK YOU!\r\n\r\nStudents also inquired when our air purifier arrived. They were excited to learn that the purifier would help us breath clean air. The clean air makes working in a classroom with 20 students cleaner and more sanitized. During winter, often times colds and flus are spread easily among students and staff.
