The students select an artist and read up on them; I have noticed that they especially love Nina Simone, Sonny Rollins, Louis Armstrong, and Billie Holiday. With the selection of books, they have been able to learn about these artists and many more that they might not be able to be exposed to in the future. \r\n\r\nThank you for letting me share the love of Jazz to my students every year.
