With the help of the Maxwell/Hanrahan Foundation, the DonorsChoose community, and our amazing local supporters, we were able to purchase two new heavy-duty soccer goals, a large deck box for storage, and a collection of playground balls for our PreK–2nd grade students at Appomattox Primary School.\r\n\r\nEach day, our students rush outside eager to play, take turns as goalies, and cheer for their classmates. The new soccer goals have inspired teamwork, cooperation, and friendly competition during recess—and the extra playground balls have given every child a chance to be active and engaged. The deck box has helped us keep our equipment safe and organized, so it's ready for play every day.\r\n\r\nFor many of our young learners, recess is not just a break—it's an essential time to develop social skills, build confidence, and practice kindness. These new additions have made that time even more joyful and inclusive.\r\n\r\nYour support has truly made a difference in our students' daily experience.
