This gave both of my classes the opportunity to work independently on their computer devices without interrupting others during quiet reading time. This also helped with audio understanding of words, phrases, sounds and vocabulary.\r\n\r\nThe Book Bud Not Buddy gave both classes the opportunity to read in aa small setting and learn about Buddy's life as a foster child and his adventures in finding his biological father. This gave them the opportunity to enjoy Buddy's adventures, experiences with other foster children and his overall feelings as a 10 year old boy caught up in a life of pain and suffering, joy and self awareness. Buddy's story is exciting because he had rule for everything in life that he did or experienced. The students loved reading the book and Buddy's Rules for life.","fullyFundedDate":1744219386034,"projectUrl":"project/bang-crack-and-pop-i-can-hear-everyt/9240071/","projectTitle":"Bang, Crack, and Pop - I Can Hear Everything!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Stuart","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2943583"},{"teacherId":9657042,"projectId":9015442,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your support of our classroom this year! Many of our students did not come to school with headphones. This was also not something provided another way. \r\n\r\nWithout your support, I as the teacher was trying to get headphones for 60+ students myself. With your support, this was able to be completed in time for ALL students to have headphones for end of year testing! You are amazing! \r\n\r\nI had a few students that have accommodations where technology reads material to them. Without headphones, this can make things VERY loud in the classroom. The children's favorite item so far would be the Magnatiles. All of the kids love them in every single class period. Due to this being a stem classroom I often have the kids use their learned engineering skills to build creative objects. The children have also loved using the whiteboards with any classroom activity they can. They keep the kids engaged and learning which is extremely important. Their eyes lit up with pure joy and excitement when they saw the materials coming into the classroom. \r\n\r\nMy next step is to continue using the materials given to assist with my students' lessons and hopefully integrate them as daily parts of each lesson. I find that a lot of scholars enjoy working with their hands, and these items give the kids the opportunity to do just that. The materials not only allow the children's imaginations to flourish but also help them stay organized. The children are learning crucial skills with the presence of these items in the classroom.
