My students were so excited to see the new materials. They love to paint so they heavy art paper was a necessity. We use it all the time. Markers and crayons are always needed and appreciated. The younger students are able to ask for the primary colors in Ojibwe and my older kiddos remember the secondary colors too. \r\n\r\nMy students really LOVE the Magna-Tiles, the Community Helpers and the play foods. They know that an apple in Ojibwe is a mishiimin, bread is bakweshigan, milk + doodooshaaboo, and a few other words.
