While many people use technology for personal photos or social media, in our classroom the camera is opening doors to creativity, technical skills, and career exploration.\r\n\r\nWith the R10, students are learning how to frame shots, adjust settings, and tell stories visually—skills that go far beyond simply taking a picture. They are experimenting with light, perspective, and editing, which helps them better understand the role of technology in media and communication. For many, this is their first opportunity to use professional-quality equipment, and it's giving them a real sense of ownership and pride in their work.\r\n\r\nWhat excites our students most is the ability to see their ideas come to life instantly. Whether they are capturing a sports game, producing short videos, or documenting school events, they are realizing that their work has an audience and a purpose. This motivation has encouraged even our more reserved students to step up and contribute, knowing that their creativity can shine through the lens.\r\n\r\nOne student in particular has especially warmed to this new technology. Kenzie, a 11th grader who has always been passionate about sports, is now using the camera to shoot games and create marketing material for the yearbook. This not only builds her confidence but also gives her a way to connect her love for sports with a new technical skill. Others who were previously hesitant to engage in class have found themselves excited to take on roles like photographer and editor.\r\n\r\nYour gift has transformed our classroom into a place where students are not only consumers of technology but also creators. The Canon R10 is helping them build 21st-century skills that will serve them in school, college, and beyond. We are deeply grateful for your support in making this possible.","fullyFundedDate":1746786350085,"projectUrl":"project/yearbook-help/9318363/","projectTitle":"Yearbook Help!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Howell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10013354"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_98421","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1150,"numTeachers":73,"percentFrplEligible":66,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":11,"percentWhite":50,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":27,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"15.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":66.7,"schoolId":98421,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Anclote High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Anclote High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/florida/pasco-county-school-district/anclote-high-school/98421"}
