Our school is an inner-city alternative school designed to help students who have been unsuccessful in traditional high school settings. Many of our students have experienced traumatic life circumstances, and our school is their last chance to graduate. Unfortunately, our school has not received many of the resources that traditional high schools have. For decades, our school has not had a library available to students. \r\n\r\nThis year, our district funded a librarian position for our school site, and we are creating a brand-new library space for our students. Your donation helped to put the first 100 books on the shelves of our new library space. Our students can feel the love that comes with having a safe, welcoming place on campus where they can find books that meet their interests and reflect their lived experiences.
