My kindergarten students were over the moon when they saw the new picture books, kindness posters, anchor chart paper, and positive notes we now get to send home. One of my favorite moments was during our first morning read-aloud with a new book—we were learning about kindness, and one student whispered, \"This is my new favorite story.\" From there, we created a kindness chart together, and students proudly shared their own kind actions to add to it.\r\n\r\nThe positive notes we send home have also made a big difference. Families have told me how excited their children are to bring those notes back, and it's created a powerful home-school connection rooted in encouragement and joy.\r\n\r\nNext, we're diving into a writing unit where students will sequence their own short stories, inspired by the read-alouds you helped provide.
