Your generosity has brought so much excitement and joy to our students, and we are so grateful for your support.\r\n\r\nOur students were beyond excited to use the light table and explore all of the new materials that came with it. From the moment the materials were introduced, they were eager to gather around, investigate, and make discoveries together. The animal x-rays quickly became a favorite as students held them up to the light and excitedly talked about what they noticed. The color paddles were also a huge hit! Students had so much fun holding them up to the light, looking through the different colors, and experimenting with what happened when they overlapped them. Their excitement and curiosity were wonderful to see as they explored, observed, and shared their ideas with one another.\r\n\r\nIn preschool, these kinds of hands-on experiences are so meaningful. The light table and its materials are not only engaging and fun, but they also help students build important early learning skills like observation, language development, critical thinking, and cooperative play. Watching them light up with excitement while using these materials has been such a joy. Thank you for helping us create a Discovery Center filled with wonder, exploration, and meaningful learning opportunities.","fullyFundedDate":1771044579825,"projectUrl":"project/lighting-up-learning-in-our-preschool-di/10007437/","projectTitle":"Lighting Up Learning in Our Preschool Discovery Center","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Leah","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1261450_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1470982391304","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-coursey"},{"teacherId":1261450,"projectId":9970544,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our preschool classroom and helping us create a calm down corner for our students! Because of your generosity, our young learners have a safe, cozy, and supportive space to help them manage big feelings and get their bodies ready to learn.\r\n\r\nThe bean bag chair has provided a soft and comforting place for children to sit and relax when they need a quiet moment. The calming sensory materials help students explore safe ways to self-regulate, whether they need to squeeze, touch, fidget, or focus. The bouncy board is especially helpful for students who need to get their wiggles out and release extra energy in a positive and appropriate way before returning to learning.\r\n\r\nThese materials not only support our students during challenging moments, but they also help teach important lifelong skills like emotional regulation, body awareness, and self-control. In our preschool classroom, social-emotional growth is just as important as academic learning, and your kindness is helping make that possible every single day. Thank you for believing in our students and for helping us create a classroom environment where every child feels supported, safe, and successful. They could not wait for their turn to explore it, and the excitement in the room was immediate. I heard comments like, \"I love it,\" \"It's so much fun,\" and \"Where did it come from?\" Each day they continue to discover new ways to play, creating imaginative stories and new adventures with the treehouse.\r\n\r\nSeeing the huge smiles on their faces means so much to me. Their joy is contagious, and it is all possible because of the generosity of supporters like you through DonorsChoose. Words truly cannot express how grateful I am for your kindness and support. The treehouse is making a meaningful impact beyond imaginative play. Students are practicing cooperative play, learning to take turns, sharing responsibility, and working through problems together. These social and developmental skills are essential and will benefit them for years to come.\r\n\r\nI know this treehouse will continue to be loved by many classes in the future. Your donations have provided materials that support growth, learning, and happiness every day. Your generosity has truly touched my heart. The moment the bins were opened and they discovered doctor coats, firefighter helmets, police uniform and more, the room buzzed with excitement. Several children immediately began assigning roles. It was incredible to watch them dive right into imaginative play so naturally and collaboratively.\r\n\r\nSince introducing the materials, we've seen a huge boost in language development. Students are using are forming longer sentences and asking more questions. Pretend play has become a safe and welcoming space where all students, regardless of language level or ability, can participate, take the lead, and be heard. It has also encouraged peer modeling, where students learn from one another simply through play and conversation.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generosity. Your support didn't just bring new materials into our classroom, you gave our students the tools to express themselves, connect with others, and grow in confidence.
