As a first-year PE teacher stepping into a brand new role, I quickly realized how challenging it was to provide engaging and meaningful physical education lessons without the proper equipment or curriculum. When I started, much of the equipment I inherited was old, worn out, or completely unusable. \r\n\r\nYour donations provided my students with brand new age-appropriate soccer balls and portable soccer nets and I can't even begin to describe the impact it has made. For so many of my students, soccer is a sport they love and connect with, and having the right equipment has completely transformed our PE class. The addition of the nets allowed me to create real game-like experiences, helping my students build skills, confidence, and teamwork in ways we couldn't before. \r\n\r\nAs a new teacher, I've had my fair share of challenges figuring out how to build a meaningful and positive PE program with limited resources. But because of you, I was able to create a space where my students feel excited to learn and play. You didn't just donate soccer equipment - you helped me lay the foundation for what I hope will become a lifelong love of physical fitness for my students. \r\n\r\nThank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in my students and in my vision for creating a better PE experience. Your kindness and generosity have made an incredible difference, and my students and I will always be grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1736737964717,"projectUrl":"project/eagles-want-to-learn-soccer/8816144/","projectTitle":"Eagles Want to Learn Soccer!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rounsfull","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9775276"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_52885","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":331,"numTeachers":16,"percentFrplEligible":36,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":74,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"20.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":75.8,"schoolId":52885,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Alta Sierra Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Alta Sierra Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/pleasant-ridge-union-school-district/alta-sierra-elementary-school/52885"}
