I am still practicing using the Cinch machine and figuring out the correct wires. My hope is to have a good grasp on it so that I can start making books / notebooks with my students at the beginning of next school year. My plan is to have my students create their own covers, design their pages, and put their books together. Then we can add to them throughout the year. My hope is that it will motivate my speech articulation students to practice their speech sounds outside of the speech/language room. They will be able to read their books and show their parents.\r\n\r\nI don't have many pictures yet, as I'm still learning. It was a resounding success because of your support. Our junior class shared their stories with four different classrooms of elementary students, and I could not be prouder of them. Many students worked hard to create stories that would interest and engage their elementary readers. I listened to stories about a family's new puppy to a runaway pick-up truck. Our high school students are endlessly creative, and they appreciate your support in bringing their stories to life as books! \r\n Many of our students took their books home as memorable moments from their high school career. However, a few students did donate their finished books to our classroom library as examples for future writers. As an English teacher, I greatly appreciate all of the writing and publishing opportunities that our students have, especially with the support of those of you who donated to this project.
