My heart is full of gratitude for your support of the Mental Health is a priority calming corner. There are many corners within the corner to participate in the promotion of the students mental health and wellness. Each corner fosters topics of wellness from anxiety and depression to self-image and concept.\r\n\r\nWithout the support of donors like you, this room would not have the same level of impact that our students are able to share with each other on how best to regulate and self care. The students are now able to visit the room individually or as a group with the supervision of the counselors or myself. Students share that they are able to self-regulate their emotions and thoughts by utilizing the room before they find themselves into trouble. They have been able to identify emotions beyond the surface and to dig deeper on how to cope.\r\n\r\nThis room has also encouraged our lead counselor to receive her certification in beginners yoga to work with the students further.
