I kept it warm and classroom-centered, the way donors love.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my students are using these new resources every single day. We've incorporated them into hands-on lessons, small-group activities, and independent work time. One especially meaningful moment was during a recent class project, when students used the new materials to practice and apply skills we had been working on. I saw students who are usually hesitant become more confident, engaged, and excited to participate because they finally had the tools they needed to succeed.\r\n\r\nWhen the supplies arrived, the excitement was immediate. My students' faces lit up as they explored the materials, and several asked, \"Are these really for us?\" That moment alone reminded me how powerful your support is. Knowing that people outside our classroom care enough to invest in their learning made my students feel valued and encouraged.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, we are now moving forward with deeper lessons and more interactive projects that allow students to build skills, collaborate, and grow academically. These resources will continue to support our learning throughout the year as we expand on current lessons and take on new challenges together. Thank you for giving my students not just supplies, but confidence, motivation, and a stronger love for leaning.","fullyFundedDate":1758854745255,"projectUrl":"project/basics-needed/9656314/","projectTitle":"Basics Needed","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ortiz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10227378_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1766553533414","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10227378"},{"teacherId":9653037,"projectId":8644177,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, my students are now enjoying NEW beanbags during their daily rest time, a NEW classroom rug for their play area, and a handful of assorted other classroom materials, including a set of magnatiles! We were able to dispose of two smaller, older, rather dirty rugs in favor of our new, low-stim, aesthetically pleasing one funded by our donors. The beanbags are used for daily rest time, as mentioned above, but they also provide comfortable seating for Fun Friday Movie and at times also function as flexible seating options for our kiddos with unique sensory input needs. Similarly, the magnatiles are a hit amongst my kiddos on the autism spectrum. They love sorting through the various colors and feeling the magnets between their fingers. \r\n\r\nOftentimes, it feels as though special education classrooms fall by the wayside a bit in terms of classroom refresh prioritization and schoolwide budgets. With your help, you've done a wonderful job of helping fill this gap for us. I inherited a lovely, large classroom space from my predecessor a few years ago- and this was my first Donors Choose project that I enlisted to help make the space our own and replace many old items with a few new ones. The success of this project makes me feel as though our students are being seen!
