We have used the bins to provide hands-on math and science exercises. Specifically, we used the domino bin to enhance multiplication skills. The students would draw a two dominos and practice multiplication facts. In another activity, we built towers with specific dimensions and the student had a set time to complete. These activities promote independent learning while developing motor skills and spatial reasoning. \r\n\r\nThe students were so excited the day my box arrived in the mail. They yelled \"STEM\", and could not wait to dig into them. I allowed the students to help me unpack the box and sort the activities into their correct bins. We ended up with sixteen bins total in our set. These materials will increase support for a variety of learning styles and provide learning opportunities for students with varying abilities. These bins, combined with supplies I already have, are a blessing for the classroom.\r\n\r\nStudents will continue to develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity skills through regular use of the STEM bins. Future steps include incorporating STEM challenges that connect to other classroom curriculum, increasing the complexity of activities to grow students' skills. My future classroom purchases may include engineering challenge kits, coding activities, or science exploration tools. These types of resources can expand learning, give me a variety of ability levels, and encourage continued exploration of math and science subjects. \r\n\r\nI appreciate your donation and my students have appreciated your gift as well.
