While it wasn't tied to a specific project, it has added to our learning environment. I placed the rug in front of my futon couch, creating a comfortable and inviting space where students can gather for small group work, independent work (or even to catch a moment of zen!), and collaborative discussions. This simple addition has elevated both the atmosphere and functionality of our classroom, making it feel more like a community-centered space where students want to learn...and do their work. \r\n\r\nWhen the rug first arrived, students immediately gravitated toward it with excitement. Many commented on how cozy and welcoming the space felt. Or in their own lingo, \"Mrs. Abraham ate by adding this rug to the room.\" Since then, it has become a favorite spot in the room. The flexible seating option has especially helped students who benefit from a more relaxed environment, allowing them to feel comfortable while staying productive. \r\n\r\nI plan to continue using this space to support collaborative learning.
