These items are much needed in our classroom. We are a resource room where students from various elementary grades come up for assistance in the reading and math areas. They will all greatly benefit from the items received.\r\n\r\nWith winter coming, the weather where we live is very up and down. Sometimes our students don't have a winter coat to wear to recess. Having a variety of coats and sizes will be a great asset to ensuring that there is a coat here for students to wear outside if necessary, and the hats and gloves are an added bonus. They were also very happy to receive the pop tarts and nutri grain bars, as we sometimes get late stragglers in the morning who have not had time to eat breakfast yet, but will have something here. Many of our students are in the free and reduced lunch program, and they are hungry kids. Thank you especially to the Donors Choose Student Hunger Fund for helping to ensure we receive those much needed food items.
