With these tools, I've been able to create durable, hands-on learning centers that my students can use every day. Now, instead of using paper worksheets that tear easily, my students are tracing letters, matching numbers, and sorting pictures on beautifully laminated cards they can reuse over and over again.\r\n\r\nThe technology behind the laminator might seem simple, but in our classroom, it's been a game changer. It's helping my students practice fine motor skills, build early literacy and math foundations, and develop independence as they rotate through centers confidently. They especially love using the new tracing and matching games because the laminated surface lets them write and wipe clean to try again—a feature that makes learning both fun and forgiving!\r\n\r\nSome of my students who were hesitant to participate at first are now eager to join in. One student who struggles with attention has become completely focused when using the laminated number cards—she loves erasing and trying again until she gets it right. Thanks to this project and the generosity of the DonorsChoose Community, my classroom is now filled with joyful learning moments that will last well beyond this year.","fullyFundedDate":1757897391223,"projectUrl":"project/creating-lasting-learning-laminated-cen/9706794/","projectTitle":"Creating Lasting Learning: Laminated Centers for Kinder Kids","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Long","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5683206_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1547918941325","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5683206"},{"teacherId":5683206,"projectId":9578746,"letterContent":"When our new STEM materials arrived, my students' excitement filled the room! They couldn't wait to open each box, explore the colorful magnetic tiles, and start building. Their eyes lit up as they worked together to create tall marble runs, bridges, and imaginative structures that stretched their creativity. The waffle blocks quickly became a class favorite—students eagerly collaborate to see how high they can build or how many different designs they can invent.\r\n\r\nThese hands-on resources have transformed our classroom into a space buzzing with curiosity and innovation. During STEM time, I see teamwork, problem-solving, and perseverance come to life. Students discuss ideas, test their designs, and cheer each other on when their creations succeed. The new storage bins have made it easy for them to organize materials on their own, encouraging responsibility and independence.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to expand these building projects into real-world challenges. Students will use the magnetic tiles and marble run sets to explore concepts like gravity, motion, and balance, while learning how engineers test and redesign their ideas.
