Since receiving my rolling desk and chair, I have been able to be more mobile in the classroom and help students from anywhere around the room. The pencil sharpener is used daily in class and the color pencils have helped the students with notes and projects. The students take notes daily in class and I use different colors when explaining certain concepts and I allow the students to use the colored pencils to do the same. I believe that this will help the students retain the knowledge better as well as brighten up their pages a little. Students recently did a slope name activity with the colored pencils and that would not have been possible without your help.\r\n Some of my students struggle to have the daily supplies needed for success in the math classroom. With your generosity I have been able to supply some items to help along the way. My students loved reading the book and getting to know the characters, especially Ponyboy and Johnny. They were able to see themselves in some of the elements of the book. \r\n\r\nThey enjoyed comparing the Socs and Greasers to modern school groups and cliques. \r\n\r\nTo finish the unit, we watched the movie and did some comparisons between the book and movie.
