The Operation games gave students the opportunity to see, hear, and experience energy transfer in real time as they explored how electrical energy moves through a circuit and transforms into sound and light. Our students were highly engaged throughout each investigation and showed genuine curiosity as they made predictions, tested ideas, and discussed their observations with one another. Concepts that can feel abstract became concrete through play and exploration.\r\n\r\nThe materials provided created opportunities for deeper learning that would not have been possible otherwise. Small group investigations allowed every student to actively participate, collaborate with peers, and build confidence in their scientific thinking. In science, students will use online sound simulators to explore waves, pitch, amplitude, and wavelength with clear audio that helps us bring these concepts to life. \r\n\r\nIn math, the headphones will also support programs and benchmark assessments that read directions and problems aloud, helping all students access the content more independently, especially our multilingual learners. This has led to stronger comprehension, especially when we pause to discuss vocabulary, character actions, or key events—students are able to quickly find evidence and stay involved in the conversation.\r\n\r\nHaving enough copies has also made partner reading and small group work much more effective. Students can collaborate, reread important sections, and support one another in understanding the text.
