They are also very thankful for when we have different schedules in our lunch changes to be able to have snacks.\r\nMy students have been able to have their own charging station due to some of the materials purchased. They are thankful for this because they don't always get a chance to charge their Chromebook at home. My students are loving it so much. I have had great opportunities to help students using this area.\r\nFirst great use, was helping some students work through a conflict which was just a huge misunderstanding between the girls. Second great opportunity was a student came in on lunch tired and asked to take a 10min nap, we set a time and they took and nap. They were thankful for a safe space to take the nap. Lastly, many students love to sit in the area to do their work. They have been more productive in the space, they have asked permission to use it first every time.\r\nThese are just a few of the amazing things happening in the area. When I had to do some re-ordering of items a few students asked for coloring materials so they can color as they chat with friends. This has become a huge impact on the students learning. Thank you so much again for your donations that has made my room become an environment of trust, safety, and learning.","fullyFundedDate":1753491783487,"projectUrl":"project/cool-social-spot/9437552/","projectTitle":"Cool Social Spot!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cummings Mcneil","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8547310_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1719270727078","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8547310"},{"teacherId":3908609,"projectId":9035658,"letterContent":"I hope this message finds you well! I hope to play more of the games now that they play money has helped teach them about money in general.\r\nStudents can now add dollar bills together. We still struggle with the coins but they are getting the hang of the coins. Learning about new ideas, like Polyvagal Theory, has helped me see how important emotional safety is for learning.\r\n\r\nThis theory shows that when students feel safe, they're more ready to participate in class, while those in \"fight or flight\" mode find it hard to learn. A memorable moment in my classroom was when tensions rose during a group activity. By using these principles, I helped students express their feelings, turning chaos into teamwork.\r\n\r\nUnderstanding how our brains work in education has made me realize how crucial it is to manage emotions. I'm not just teaching subjects; I'm helping students learn to handle their feelings and build resilience, creating a more supportive and effective learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1727990413191,"projectUrl":"project/polyvagal-theory-in-school/8465485/","projectTitle":"Polyvagal Theory in School!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ilona Brose","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9488472"},{"teacherId":8547310,"projectId":8872714,"letterContent":"My students and I use these ALL the time.
