My Project
The city of Atlanta is ever growing and the population continues to grow which leads to more urbanization. How can we create homes and communities that make use of renewable energy sources to reduce the ecological impact of urbanization? These STEM project materials will allow students to explore and create a home that uses little to no non-renewable energy. The use of STEM notebooks is key in students journaling their engineering and design process.
The goal is to aid in students' understanding of designing and defending their sustainable energy plans as it relates to nonrenewable & renewable energy.
The community of students lives in a suburban area that has witnessed continuous urbanization all around. How can we create good environmental stewards of their community while urban development continues?
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
