Zen Zone: A Calm Place to Regulate Emotions

My Project

My students mean the world to me and creating a "Zen Zone" is something I always wanted to create in my classroom to help my students regulate their emotions. Calming lights, a space away from their classmates, weighted blankets, and sensory toys are often what my students need to help them to calm down when behaviors arise.

My students are all on the spectrum and may often need a calming space to feel safe to go to when they are upset or anxious.

I want to be able to provide my students with a space they can go to on their own and know it is okay if they need a break.
