This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 20 talented 2nd-grade students attend a Title I school in a low-income area. Most of my students are all learning English as a second language. They are sweet and loving students who are eager to learn.

By providing my students with the best learning environment, I will help these students flourish. This year I have been building and creating a safe space for them to explore books.
My Project
Do you remember sitting all day long at your desk reading and doing work when you were in school? Having flexible seating in my classroom will allow students to get comfortable during readers workshop. Students will be able to dive into reading their books where they can feel comfortable and relaxed. This option of seating can help students stay focus and build stamina in their reading.

The books that I have chosen are books that are engaging to all levels of readers and learners. These books will help students with their comprehension skills, character traits, themes, and much more.
