My Students

Kindergarten is such an exciting time! It is a crucial time in a child's education. Kindergarten classes have very diverse needs. Some children come to school with strong foundations in literacy and can recognize letters and sounds, write legibly and have rich life experiences. Others come needing to have these skills developed at school with their teacher and peers. Kindergarten children come to school happy and eager to learn. They are hands on learners with amazing abilities to solve problems with creativity.

A kindergarten classroom needs to be equipped with resources and materials to meet these diverse needs in an engaging way.

The environment and resources are key to providing young children with an interactive and equal education. These early educational experiences shape the future of their school successes and experience.

My Project

The materials in this project help make learning to read and write words easier for many kindergarten students. Learning to read and write words can be challenging for many young children. Reading research shows us that using hands-on and visual approaches in reading instruction is essential for success.

Donations to this project will help make learning to read visual and hands-on for kindergarten students.

The bingo chips will help students map out individual sounds in words. The magnetic wands help students to blend the sounds to make the word as the zap up the chips. The boxes will help students store their chips. Learning to read can be fun!
