Help me give my students an excellent end to the formal academic education. They need the book, The Brief Wondrous Lifo of Oscar Wao.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Hunter's classroom raised $692

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Before sending my seniors out into the world, I am exposing them to a novel rich with history and creativity. The footnotes in the novel brings the rich history of the Dominican Republic to life. While the mixture of Spanish and English brings together their experience at our multicultural school, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao will seal so much of their education and allow students to expand their exposure to the human spectrum through literature.
Seeing themselves in the works covered in class invites students to reach beyond their everyday environments and dreams.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
