Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach reading intervention to grades 1st -5th, so my students are working hard to improve their phonics, vocabulary, and overall reading fluency. Having incentives to reward their extra efforts along the way in reaching their goals will motivate them to continue with their efforts. The students are constantly assessed to track their progress and these treats will be offered for reaching goals and putting forth their best effort. These tasty treats will also keep the students motivated to put in the extra effort needed to increase their reading abilities. Reading is a life skill so if tasty treats can help students become better readers all other academic areas can also improve.
