My Project

My 4th grade students love learning and reading and come to school with smiles on their faces. Several of my students did not come with any school supplies so many needed supplies to be provided by me or the school. Our school is a title one school and gets 100% free lunch and we have many students who speak English as a second language and come from low-income households.

These mailboxes will allow me to put my students' graded work in a central location that the students can readily access to get at the end of the day and will be able to withstand daily use.

Mailboxes will also allow me to pass out notes that need to go home and allow me to more easily facilitate home-school communication with families. These mailboxes will also give our classroom the ability to store heavily used supplies in a "home" that students can easily access. Having student supplies in one area will allow smoother transitions when students need something such as glue sticks or scissors which will help reduce any lost learning time. New mailboxes would greatly benefit our classroom environment.
