Help me give my students personal mailboxes that will help us with organization and responsibility!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Felczak's classroom raised $265

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are all native Spanish speakers that are enrolled in a One-Way Dual Language Program. This means that we learn English Language Arts and Math in English, and Native Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies in Spanish. Our program is committed to helping our students to become both bilingual and bi-literate.
My students are resilient and have a passion for learning.
My students are unique, creative, and thoughtful! They are scientists, authors, and the leaders of tomorrow.
All of my students receive free lunch, breakfast, and a snack at school. The childhood poverty rate in our district is among the highest in the state and many of my students face challenges with hunger, unstable housing, and lack access to technology. Despite these challenges, my students and their families are highly involved in our school community and we continue to work together to ensure the success of our students.
My Project
I am requesting a personal mailbox center that will help us with organization and responsibility! Student mailboxes are an important element in the classroom because they teach children about organizational skills. Mailboxes also teach students about responsibility and will help them to take ownership of their own materials and correspondences.
Student mailboxes are essential to classroom routines, organization, and creating responsible learners.
These mailboxes will also create a classroom job where one student will be in charge of passing out school notices, homework, and other important information to their classmates via the mailboxes. This is another opportunity for students to develop skills in responsibility and make them feel like the essential member of the classroom community that they are.
