My Students

"A Place for everything, everything in its place” Benjamin Franklin Please help us teach our students the importance of staying organized! Our old mailboxes are falling apart and we need a new place to put our homework folders and books.

Our students are in a team taught second grade classroom.

In our classroom we have tables instead of desks, therefore we need organized storage were students can keep their materials. Our district is in a low income village located in the mid-west. We are a Title 1 school and service students with ELL, LD, and other special needs.

My Project

Our students need a new mailbox organizer. We currently use cardboard mailboxes that are beginning to fall apart. A new mailbox organizer will help our students keep their materials organized. Each student will have their very own mailbox. They will keep their homework folder and other items they bring home on a daily basis in their mailboxes. We will be able to fill their mailboxes with any important items that need to go home and the students will be responsible for checking their mailboxes before they leave at the end of the day.

Having a well managed and organized classroom is the key to a successful learning environment.

By having the extra storage for student materials they will be organized. Students will no longer be frustrated because all of their supplies will be in one area.
