Young Scientists on Coding, Playing and Inventing!

My students need Ozobot, the Educational Toy Robot that Teaches STEM and Coding, and Ozobot sticker codes to make coding come to life!These smart little toy robot, will empower my students to code,play and invent!

My Students

"Learning by doing" and is one of the educational philosophies in facilitating dynamic science classrooms and in making my kids college and career ready. My kids love to do hands-on activities and they are getting comfortable using GAFE and incorporating art in learning. Likewise, availability of relevant consumable materials and technology is a concern.

My school is a Title I school where students are culturally diverse.

About 80% of the students commute from an outlying area of 112 square mile to the campus. School data shows that the percentage of students who receive free and reduced priced meals continues to increase each year. Due to the type of community we have, our school is ineligible for federal funded for free lunch and transportation this academic school year. Despite the fact that most students are from low income high poverty status and community challenges, they show their love for learning and are excited to do relevant and interesting activities in the lab.

My Project

My "Young Scientists on Coding, Playing and Inventing" project will foster creativity and develop the 21st Century skills among my Physical Science students and STEM club members. Students will be exposed to coding lessons and they will program the ozobot to perform several tasks. This will foster FUN in learning too.

The lessons and activities will empower my students to bring out their collaboration, programming and STEM skills to the table, thus will unleash their creativity and resourcefulness.

I believe that these type of activities will open a window of opportunities for my kids to think about in the future...delving into STEM related careers!
