Young Scientists Need Technology in Their Classroom
My students need six iPad minis with protective cases, a document camera, and a printer to have access to technology to build on their understanding of science in their world.
My inner city students attend a public elementary school in Boston. The majority of students are from low income families. My students have a love of science and are excited to learn new things. I would like to provide them with the latest technology to help them succeed in school. The elementary children I teach consist of regular education, autistic and English language learners. In my science class students have opportunities to learn through hands-on experiments, technology and text books.

Science through Technology Creates Exciting Learning Opportunities for Students
My students need iPads with cases, a projector and a printer in their science class.

The iPads and class projector and printer will give my students the opportunity to view topics from the Science Standards: life science, physical science and earth science. Students can take part in interactive Science games to review and build on their learning. Students can view animals in their natural environment. These new materials will allow my students a variety of ways to explore interesting science concepts in my classroom.
The new technology will allow students to search the internet to find information for the science fair, class projects and reports.
My students can use the new technology to work in whole or small groups.
