My 6th and 7th grade students love to be able to do science labs. After two years of pandemic restrictions we are all so ready to jump back into school projects, and science labs! Metric measurement is a big focus in middle school science. Many of our science labs depend on measuring in grams. My classroom currently only has access to 20 year old triple beam balances that are in bad need of replacement. These are not very accurate, so when we have to measure small things we have a hard time. Your generous support would enable our classroom of eager young scientists be able to engage in measuring mass using high tech digital scales. This will help them be prepared for high school science classes and beyond!
