Young Engineers Seeking Mobile Robotic Transport System
My students need a rolling stackable tool box to transport their VEX robot tools and equipment to and from tournaments and workshops throughout each year.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our Title I school has six hundred students in Pre-K through fifth grade. They are curious, enthusiastic, hard-working, and respectful. Our school is 84% free and reduced-price lunch and we have free breakfast for 100% of the student body. Each one deserves a dignified education. Unfortunately, many students do not have their basic necessities met outside of school.
My students do not let their socioeconomic status affect their desire for learning.
The students are eager learners and have a love for school, which for many is the only consistent part of their lives. Every day I learn more about their struggles, their hardships, and their courage. I attempt to foster an environment that helps each student feel comfortable, safe and enjoy learning.
The diverse life experiences of my students bring a unique atmosphere to my classroom and our entire school. There is never a day in which I am not in awe of my students' lives, both good and bad. My students are excited to be at school. Our school offers the most consistent home many of them will have with their most consistent family.
My Project
My Engineering Team is made up of fourth and fifth grade students, they have a consistent desire to learn new STEAM applications. My students are highly engaged in these applications, as they work on projects derived from their imagination. Our robots offers STEM activities that increase our knowledge in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematical programing!
Throughout our team's existence, we have needed a way to transport our robot's parts/pieces and tools to and from competitions, as well as a workstation that is easily accessible during competitions.
It is imperative to have quick access to tools and different parts during a competition. There are times during a competition when one of our teams needs to make adjustments in a moment's notice with very little time to spare. Having this mobile tool box will allow us to keep everything that we need in one location during a competition. It will also help us transport necessary equipment when we travel to tournaments.
