My students need to be able to print the stories they are writing and include photos for the reader's enjoyment.
This project expired on February 6, 2017.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My wonderful 3rd grade students are working hard this year to become awesome readers and authors. Our school has over 950 students from many different cultures and socioeconomic homes. Many of my students are unable to use technology in their homes and depend on our classroom to grow with computers, iPads, and our awesome Smartboards.
Our school district hosts a Young Authors contest each school year, with many winners coming from our school site and from many grade levels.
In order to enter, students must be able to publish stories, poetry, or reference books using classroom technology and printers.
The printer will allow my students to immediately view their finished writing projects. They are learning many different genres of writing and are excited to see published materials.
The completed books that the students create will be entered into our district contest.
Photos will add to the interest level for the person reading their stories or reports. My students will also be able to publish their own author information page with their photo. The final writing projects will be taken home by the students following their display in our school library. What a wonderful memory to have at the end of the year.
