My students bring their unique personalities to the classroom, making me look forward to coming to work every day. One thing my students have in common is that they all like to draw and create beautiful pictures. However, they usually do their creations during class and in their notebooks or textbooks. This need to draw and create pictures causes them to miss out on valuable information they need to work with peers or answer questions.
The purchased materials will create an art center incentive for students.
I will use the materials to create an art center where students can use appropriate materials to create their masterpieces. Students will have a variety of materials to choose from, allowing them to be as creative as possible.
Providing these materials and an art center will allow students to focus on their lessons. Knowing that they will have the opportunity to engage in an activity they enjoy will allow them to make good choices during work time.
