Young Adult Poetry for HS English Classroom!

Help me give my students modern literature to spark a love of reading poetry!

My Project

It is important to me that my students learn how to be respectful of everyone. Reading opens up the world to students and allows them to step outside of their everyday lives or realize that they are not alone with some of the issues they face. Poetry allows students to see perspectives that differ from their own, which encourages empathy and compassion.

My classroom is full of diverse students who each bring something new to the table -- by donating to this project, you are allowing students to not only explore their own identities, but also explore new perspectives and how others navigate the world.

Please help me add modern, young adult poetry titles to our classroom library so my students can learn about the different cultures, human experiences, and the world!
