My Project

As I'm in the midst of setting up my classroom for my first year of teaching, finding enough chairs for my students' traditional desks has been a bit of a scavenger hunt. As a result, there is currently no seating at our small-group table. This modality of instruction is critical to my students' learning, as it allows for more tailored support and peer collaboration.

Having tilt stools in the classroom will prevent my students from having to drag their chairs to our table or other stations, which will provide for much smoother transitions from one activity to the next.

More specifically, the additional comfort and sensory input provided by flexible seating will increase my students' focus, especially among those of mine who have ADD or ADHD.

The school year is quickly approaching — let's make sure it's filled with rich instruction!
