My Students
My students range across the entire spectrum of age and ability and have fallen out of the mainstream school experience for one reason or another. The school I teach in is often the last chance my students have in order to find any success in an educational environment whatsoever.
Our kids are often self-motivated and inspired to make a valiant effort to find scholastic success, sometimes they merely need a little encouragement and guidance.
With your help, I hope this project helps to get them there. The students I have involved in creating this project have expressed to us just how excited they are at the prospect of earning these rewards.
My Project
This project came out of a series of meetings with students, teachers and administrators regarding improving attendance and efforts made within our community schools. These tenacious students have slipped through the proverbial cracks and the traditional school models have failed them. Many of them go to remarkable lengths and put up herculean efforts to make it to school and get all the work done they need to in order to successfully graduate. Under my leadership, I am in charge of all the materials for this project, rewards will be given out monthly to the students trying their hardest to accomplish their goals and to recognize their efforts in a fun and desired way.
Our students have shown us how well they respond to the encouragement and support we give them.
One student, each month, will win an iPad they can use for their classroom curriculum who has demonstrated the best attendance or effort made at school that month. One runner-up, will earn the larger gift card with another runner-up earning the smaller card reward. Three rewards will be offered each month for the entire school year and I am confident that we will see our graduation rates soar this year with your greatly needed help. Many do not have access to a computer at home and go to great effort accessing the web at our school or at the local public library. We collectively believe that the kids will shine while pursuing their completed studies with incentives like this and hope with your generous support to implement this exciting project very soon.
