My Project

Wow! My students amaze me every day. They are a group of 9th-12th graders whose unique and diverse learning has helped me to grow as a teacher. They are eager to learn and have a drive and compassion to help others. As a healthcare program instructor, I want to provide my students with the necessary tools and opportunities they will need to be a successful healthcare worker.

My students consistently display an eagerness to learn despite their environment.

I want to provide my students with literary resources that reflect who they are and what they are destined to become. The books in the project are all reflections of what many of my students are facing on a daily basis. It is true representation. This will allow an opportunity for them to have engaging dialogue about the obstacles, how to plan and overcome and consequences whether negative or positive of one's actions.

Through reading, students will improve their literacy skills at the same time develop empathy, collaboration and communication skills. Each reading material is compose of topics that will help the student understand themselves, others and academics. A child's skills, mindset and habits are important for academic success.

The additional items, laptops, are for my students who may not have access to ensure success in their education.
