This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a music teacher working with kindergarten through 5th grade students within both the inclusion and self contained settings. My students have the best imaginations, using their silly energy to interact and create music. It is so important to build movement into our lessons, especially as the children don't have enough movement built into their days.

As the Chinese New Year approaches, we will be learning about traditional music, rhythms and beats used during celebrations. I am requesting a drum set for our music program on campus. At our school, we have very few actual instruments for the students to experience, practice, and develop a love of music. My goal is to help my students to develop a love and passion for music through hands-on learning. Thank you for your consideration to support our musical development.
