This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students live in a low income area of Los Angeles county. All of my students come from low-income families. We are a Title I school where one hundred percent of our students receive free meals. My students always try their best at everything and anything despite the challenges that they face in their daily lives.

They are already not expected to have it as easy as others, but we learn that with hard work and consistency, they can be "unique" or different from the rest.

My Project

My project will help to improve and increase student attention and focus, which will help them improve academically. Using the Cricut Explore to layout daily schedules, label student items, create fun anchor charts, help them create their own rewards for motivation. This will help put the focus on learning. The sensory manipulatives will also help my students focus and motivate them to complete task. My students have instructional accommodations and love using multisensory strategies to help them learn and create a safe learning environment.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

I have a treasure chest that I have filled with 3D prints, pencils, and a few squeeze balls to help my students continue being productive in class. One of my students with a behavior plan has been using a circular fidget spinner to help him stay on task.
