it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students bring so much heart, courage, and individuality into our ICT classroom. They come from different backgrounds and have diverse learning needs, but every day they show up with curiosity and kindness. What I love most is how they support one another and are always open to growing—both academically and emotionally. They remind me how powerful it is to learn together in a space that values respect and connection.
How each resource will help them learn:
The materials for our Restorative Circles—like knead dough, scratch notes, stringy balls, and other sensory tools—will be used to create a soothing and welcoming centerpiece. These tactile items help students stay grounded and focused during circle time, especially when discussing big emotions or resolving conflicts. They provide a nonverbal outlet for stress and anxiety, making it easier for students to engage and express themselves. With these resources, our circle becomes more than just a routine—it becomes a safe space where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to grow.
