Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 6th grade classroom is very project based with students frequently presenting their work to the class both individually and as a group.
I would love to add a proper lectern to our classroom for them to use during their presentations to not only hold their materials, but to also create a focal point that will increase engagement.
Public speaking is tough for most middle schoolers. Giving them a lectern to stand behind will help increase their confidence. It will also give the rest of the class (the audience) something to focus on at the front of the room when their classmates are presenting.
