Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are extremely hard-working, motivated mathematicians. They are eager to learn and absorb mathematics, social-emotional skills, and life skills. We are located in a low socioeconomic community in a Title I school. While we have access to basic needs and materials, I like to make my classroom lively with resources and fun to make my classroom a productive, engaging environment.
My goal is to introduce fun incentives that will motivate my students to continue volunteering, mentoring each other, and performing as leaders.
My students already take initiative in my classroom and I hope these incentives will inspire them to continue. I also hope to encourage students that may be more introverted to challenge themselves to participate in sharing out loud and presentations. These incentives will be awarded to students who present to the class, mentor, tutor, share, scare highly, and more!
My students appreciate the resources we receive from our donors and I know we will put them to great use in the classroom. Thank you for supporting my students!
