Help me give my students a chance to build work based skills. We are working on branding our TSW program and the different businesses we have established. We can also make buttons for fundraisers while building skills.

My Students

My program works on supporting students transitioning from school to work. We work on helping students prepare for their career goals. We expose students to careers they are interested in through work experience, job shadows, volunteering, and informational interviews. We also work on professional portfolios. We make sure the students have a plan once they graduate, whether it is post- secondary, vocational training, or direct job placement. We hope to lessen the anxiety after graduation and develop skills they can utilize beyond the high school experience.

My Project

These buttons and button maker will help the students with work-based skills. The students can focus on hand and eye coordination. Students can develop designs for the button to use for fundraisers to spread positivity and add to the culture of the campus. Students will be able to partner with different sports and clubs on the campus to design buttons. This way the students are collaborating with others and building on their customer service skills, which will be needed for any job. Students will be able to collaborate and come up with many ideas that we could use the button maker to build work-based skills.
