It is vital for students to have work based experiences before leaving high school school and transitioning into adulthood . The school's greenhouse will provide the students with job readiness skills. They will be involved in the whole process. They will start with the planning and construction of the greenhouse. Students will then be in charge of the upkeep and maintenance. They will have a say in what is grown and the use of their products. They will develop fundraisers and sale strategies to benefit the entire campus. We will use the Cricut to help organize the greenhouse and make shirts to represent our greenhouse team. We will also make buttons to brand our greenhouse and to sell for fundraising. Through all of this they will develop communication, time management, problem solving, and collaboration skills that they can carry with them into the workforce. This helps build the students confidence and strong work ethic.
